The synthesis and analysis of the diester obtained on the basis of -napthyl acetic monoester of propylene oxide in the presence of diphenylolpropane and nano-TiO2 (PC-500) catalyst

The diester was synthesized in the high yield based on diphenylolpropane monoester of propylene oxide and -napthyl acetic in the ratio 2:1mol in the presence of the heterogeneous nano-TiO2 (PC-500) catalyst in the amount of 1.0 wt % at the temperature 110-1200 C and duration of the reaction 10-12 hours. The physical and chemical properties of the synthesized diester have been identified and its identification proven by spectral methods. The use of nano-TiO2 catalyst in the etherification reaction leads to the advantage as a judgment of non-polluting process. The synthesized diester may be used as an antioxidant for diesel fuels.
