The method of development of drill bit provided with diamond-bearing rock cutting elements is offered. The drill bit is provided with two types of rock cutting elements. On the side surface of the bit there are elements with homogenous structure, and on the end surface – two-layered ones, consisting of diamond-bearing layer located on the hard alloy basis. The composition of rock cutting elements includes diamond, carbon silicide, nickel, silicium, cobalt, monocarpbide, tungsten-monocarbide and niobium carbide. Carried out field tests of drill bits justified that in same analogue of mechanical drilling speed the advance per bit was larger for 1.9 times.
