Determination of the effective porosity factor, the true value of elastic waves velocity in the rock matrix and fluids
O.B. BabazadehThe seismic survey takes a leading place in forecasting hydrocarbon deposits as it allows to find the location and presence of hydrocarbons with reasonable accuracy in geological structure via dynamic (decrements and coefficient of attenuation) and kinematic (interval and reservoir velocity) parameters. It may be noted that without studying reservoir properties of rocks composing the geological section, determination of the presence of hydrocarbons in traps is not possible. It is possible only in case when the real value of the reservoir velocity, effective porosity factor, the rock matrix and fluid velocity is known.
