Modified alkylphenol additives containing nitrogen, sulphur and carboxyliate groups
E.A. NaghiyevaThe paper presents the synthesis and investigation of modifications of alkylphenol additives for motor oil as well as ship oils with nitrogen, sulphur atoms and carboxylic groups. As a result the neutral AKI-222 and high alkali AKI-223 additives on the basis of compositional mixture of sulphurized dodecylphenol and Mannich base from amonimethylation of dodecylphenol with aminoacetic acid and formaldehyde have been obtained. It was defined that AKI-223 additive has improved anticorrosion, anti-oxydizing, anti-wearing and washing properties compared to its sulphur- and carboxyl containing analogues. High exploitation properties of additives allow applying them in the composition of motor oils, particularly in those for ship diesel group.
