On the issue of horizontal and directional hole drilling in multi-layer deposits of North-West Zjetybai

The long-term development plan of Kazakhstan foresees to increase the oil production by 1.5-2 times in coming years. The implementation of such a great task requires expansion of the drilling and operation of wells in complex geological and technical conditions, the development and appliance of up-to-date internationally competitive technologies and equipment. The improvement of methods of definition of profiles for drilling of deep inclined and horizontal wells with large deviations from the vertical in complicated conditions is an urgent task. An improved methodic of designing of profile for drilling of deep inclined and horizontal well in complicated conditions of West Kazakhstan is offered.
