The use of alternative energy resources - the future of world electric energy industry
Ch.R. MammadovThe article considers the issues of world electric energy production, its role in the development of production forces. A comparative analysis has been conducted on the dependence of gross domestic product (GDP) on the production and consumption of electricity, as well as the amount of carbon dioxide emissions from fuel combustion in the leading energy-intensive countries of the world. The indexes of implemented, technical and theoretical potentials of renewable energy resources are provided. The prospects of their usage and role in the increase of energy production with further decrease of carbon dioxide emissions capacity are noted.
