The abnormally high formation and pore pressures in clay layers and reservoirs of Low Kura depression have been analyzed, the properties of changing of pressure gradient and anomaly ratio estimated, structural maps developed. A special role of geotectonic and godynamic processes in the formation, distribution and change of abnormally high formation and pore pressures along the section, as well as the necessity of their consideration while conducting drilling and logging prospecting, exploration of hydrocarbon deposits and other geological-geophysical measures is noted.
