The results of field geophysical surveys in the wells drilled in the enhanced areas of Garadagh underground gas storage
S.G. SafarovaThe enhancement of exploitation gas-bearing areas and increase of gas production in Azerbaijan are connected with the population demand for natural gas. Now, the active gas capacity in Garadagh gas storage comprises 1 bln.54 mln.m3 and the main task is to increase these figures up to 2–3 bln.m3 in the next two years. In order to maximum increase the level of gas storage, it is necessary to drill new wells and repair the ones located at the storage. To increase the capacity of produced and pumped gas, it is necessary to conduct drilling in the central exploitation structure of Garadagh fields – VIIа horizon. In 2014–2015 for gas development increase, there were drilled wells No 469, 478, 480, 483, 485, 486 and 487 in Garadagh field. For the definition of saturation character of reservoirs in drilled wells, the comparison test was carried out. The results of field surveys on VII horizon of Productive Series have been analyzed. The interpretation materials of the complex of geophysical surveys on 8 wells have been processed via “Prime” and “Terrastation” software: general and effective power of reservoirs, porosity, clay and oil-gas bearing contents. According to the results of geological surveys conducted in VII and VIIa horizons, the capacity of gas pumped into the formations can be increased due to the drilling of new wells in Garadagh underground gas storage.
