To the issue of presence of West Caspian fault

The paper considers the hypothesis of the presence of West Caspian fault offered based on earlier data on Deep Seismic Sounding, Correlation Refraction method and gravimetric surveys. The absence of monocline in PreCaspian-Guba oil-gas bearing region has been justified. Using 2D and 3D seismic survey data via СDP (common depth point) method was carried out the work according to the results of which were defined the major research directions on the specification of Azerbaijan territory tectonic map applying 2D seismic survey in the regional scale.
