Cyclo-alkylation of phenol with cyclo-hexene in the presence of KУ-23 catalyst on continuous devices

Cyclo-alkylation reaction of phenol with cyclohexene in the presence of KУ-23 catalyst was studied on continuous device. The impact of temperature, molecular rate of initial components and volumetric rate on the yield and selectivity of n-cyclohexylphenol were researched. Cyclo-alkylation reaction was researched at the temperature of 80–140оС, molecular rate of phenol:cyclohexene 0.5–2:1 and volumetric rate 0.3–1.0 h-1. It was justified that in the optimum mode the yield of desired product of para-cyclohexylphenol comprises 64.8 % from the theory on cyclo-hexene, and the selectivity 95.8 % by desired product. The structure of n-cyclohexylphenol was specified via spectral and chemical methods.
