Production of base oily components from petroleum distillates of Balakhany oil
F.I. SamadovaThe production of base oils is generally carried out via selective technology, obtaining 98 % of oils is based on the extraction processes and it helps to prepare oil of I group. In Azerbaijan base oils are not produced at present. Despite of this fact, hundred years ago lubricating oils from Baku produced from Balakhany oil displaced foreign ones in Europe. Obtained oily distillate fractions from these oils are of high quality, accordingly there is no need to apply selective treatment to them, because excessive cleaning of oils from petroleum oil deteriorates acid resistance stability. It is shown that oily distillate T-46 obtained from Balakhany petroleum oil was treated in laboratory conditions in a soft mode through 1-2-step treatment via silicate and natural adsorbent. For preparing base oil of M-10 type was used 80 % of treated T-46 distillate from Balakhany petroleum oil, and as a second component – AK-15. Obtained oil meets the requirements of motor oil except viscosity index. The content of saturated hydrocarbon in the oil is 91–92 %. For improvement of viscosity index, it is necessary to used viscous additives.
