Casings expandable from within

Up-to-date stage of drilling in hydrocarbon deposits is characterized with the increase of well depth, removing their bottom holes from vertical and development of deep-water parts of continental seas and oceans shelf as well. To achieve this, using existing traditional drilling technologies becomes more complicated, especially while hole making in complicated drilling conditions. The presence of unstable mountain rocks with abnormally low and abnormally high formation pressures leads to the usage of multistring well program, which, in its turn, increases metal consumption and investments. In this regard, it is necessary to drill wells using foreign technology of expanding casings. Appliance of this technology will enable to reduce additional expenditures while well drilling.
