The appliance of zeolite catalysts for etherification of maleic and dichloromaleic anhydrides with propyl alcohols

The etherification reaction of maleic and dichloromaleic anhydrides with propanole-1 and propanole-2 using such zeolites as clinoptilolite, mordenite, КУ-2, zeokar, ЦВК, КМЦР, HZSM has been studied. It was justified that the most active ones were ЦВК, КМЦР and HZSM. It is shown that in the presence of these catalysts, the etherification with maximum yield of main products – dieters output go at Т = 453-473 К temperatures, at a ratio DXMA: alcohol=1:3-1:3.5 mole and duration of reaction in 3-3.5 hours.
