Achievements in drilling with up-to-date equipment
F.A. AsadovThe paper presents the information on geology of Bulla-deniz field, as well as the first well drilled here. Most of the complications appeared during drilling in Bulla-deniz field are connected with imperfectness and old drilling technologies. Appliance of up-to-date drilling rigs, new equipment, especially a new oil-based drilling mud led to the improvement of drilling process. The paper also provides a brief information on the running and cementing of the heaviest 339.7 inch one section casing string to 4938 m depth, as well as about the deepest off- and onshore wells drilling on the territory of Azerbaijan.
