Azerbaijan’s geothermal resources and prospective use of geothermal energy in Absheron peninsula

Alternative energy sources are widely used in the world for obtaining thermal and electric power with restricting energy source that environmentally harmful. In the near future, Azerbaijan intends to create strong economy not depending on oil industry and one of the directions in this way is the development of alternative energy sources in the country. The paper researches the prospects of using Azerbaijan’s geothermal resources and thermal waters co-produced with oils in Absheron peninsula.
