Operational characteristics of Azerbaijan main and distributional gas pipelines

It is noted in the paper that the main and distributional gas pipelines in Azerbaijan are operated in complicated conditions. The presence of water vapor and heavy hydrocarbons, as well as mechanical impurities in the composition of transmitted gas complicates transportation process. With the purpose of prevention of mentioned complications, alongside with the operation mode of gas pipeline, the necessity of conducting gas compositional analysis, the dew point of water and hydrocarbons, as well as initial condensation pressure and hydrocarbons loss is shown. The issues of gas leakages elimination in the context of “Garadagh-Sumgayit” gas pipeline have been analyzed.
