Analysis of current knowledge status of wellbore stability issue

Wellbore stability is an urgent problem on the agenda leading to the significant annual unforeseen expenditures in oil industry. Based on analysis of current knowledge status, the key tasks targeted to the increase of prediction efficiency and measures against complications related to wellbore stability loss are formulated in the paper.
