Deposits flooding and the methods of its control

As it is known, irrespective of the reasons, flooding of layers and wells leads to the decrease of production, increase of sand production, equipment corrosion, reduction of wells overhaul period, growth of energy costs and increase of oil extraction cost value as well. In the view of this, all possible sources and reasons for well flooding, product’s flooding impact on the key production indexes have been analyzed. Based on carried out studies, the classification of existing methods and technologies of the measures conducted with the purpose of limiting and prediction of water flows for various geological and operation conditions has been provided.
