Analysis of oil-gathering facility of “Azneft” PU OGPDs and proposals for performance efficiency upgrading
S.B. BayramovIn most of “Azneft” PU OGPDs, well production after the separation process in central oil-gathering facilities (COGF) enters the drainer traps, from where initially separated oil, production water and mechanical particles are collected in appropriate tanks. Conical shape of tank bottoms in the ratio of 1:1000 leads to the complications while removing bottom sediments. Mechanical impurities from the drainer traps and production water separated in petroleum tanks are directed to open oil traps, which results in environmental pollution and oil loss. During tank farm reconstruction process, to eliminate above-mentioned shortcomings, it is recommended to replace drainer traps with oil-, gas-, water- and sand separators, and open oil traps – with a closed drainage system. The center of tanks with a conical bottom in a ratio of 1:1000 should be provided with a drainage pipe and conical depression in a ratio of 1:1000 as in central oil-gathering facilities of “Abseronneft” OGPD.
