Facial-paleographic conditions of Productive Series formation within northern border of South Caspian
S.F. HashimovThe paper reviews the results of facial-genetic researches of more than fifty sections of Productive Series out of five structural-facial zones of its distribution. As a result of conducted facial-genetic investigations from the sections of Productive Series, fifteen facies joint in three genetic type of sediments were revealed. Thereafter, the connection of facies with lithostratons, transagressive and regressive parts of macrocycles of Productive Series is shown. Idealized 3D paleogeographic model of Paleovolga delta in all stages of productive basin development has been worked out. Paleogeographic picture of Productive Series by lithostratons of Underkirmaky and Balakhany suites, complying with the critical stage of productive basin development of South Caspian is illustrated in detail. Paleogeographic pictures of Underkirmaky and Balakhany stages are reviwed particularly. The results of paleogeographic reconstructions of Sabunchu and Surakahany suites are described in brief.
