Application of spatial beams as spans in construction of offshore piers

MuslimovThe paper considers the issues of application of cost effective structures in the context of metal saving in construction of offshore oil-gas field hydro-technical facilities of pier type. It is shown that the replacement of typical 10 m spatial beams made from rented H-beams with 12 m span made from the beams with perforated wall enables to save metal consumption up to 25 %. It is suggested to use a structure made from the beams with intensified tube elements of wall’s perforated part as a span in offshore pier construction for the first time.
