The article is dedicated to the production of high purity naphthalene by processing in the presence of a new catalytic complex of heavy pyrolysis resin (HPR) having limited application fields in the country. It presents the process of synthesis of high-quality electrode coke by delayed coking of the residual fraction after rectification and studying the physical-chemical properties of the products obtained by modern physical ways. The possibility of obtaining coke from processed HPR, combining isotropic and anisotropic properties and having spherulitic properties have been shown.
