Evaluation of efficiency and application sequence of increase methods of oil recovery rate of deposits with high viscosity oil

The practice of field exploration around the world shows that hydrocarbons’ mobility in formation conditions decreases with viscosity increase. For efficient exploration of such fields, which are also characteristic for our region, the employment of thermic methods is recommended. To the research survey have been involved 129 onshore operation objects in Azerbaijan with high viscosity oils. It was defined that 500 million tons residual balance reserves of oil are registered in these objects. The paper analyzes the issues of increase methods’ application for formations’ oil recovery rate and preliminary objects selected.
