Evaluation of rheological characteristics of high viscous oils
S.V. AbbasovaThe paper presents the methodological evaluation of specification of quantitative characteristics of oil rheological properties including a series of experiments using rotational viscometer which is a rotary device in the form of coaxial cylinders, where shear stress and shear rate are directly set. Cross and Malkin methods enable to define non-Newtonian characteristics such as normal shear and elasticity modulus. To make a timely decision on the regulation of technological regimes of pumping out well production for efficient increase of oil recovery, it is necessary to have qualitative and quantitative characteristics of oil rheological properties as well.
