The article presents the results of research on the development of new methods to prevent asphaltene sediments while hydrocarbons transportation. Experimental studies justified that under the maintenance of a specific temperature regime between the oil transported through the pipelines and the environment (276–278 K), continuous gas evolution and formation of a gas layer is observed in the boundary of gas-liquid flow and the pipe wall. The generation of such a layer helps to prevent asphaltene sediments on the pipe walls and can serve as an effective method to improve the performance of the pipelines.
