Development of enhancement method for performance indicators of rock destruction tools of abrasive-cutting type

The paper analyzes the reasons and factors affecting uneeven development of bits’ cutting structure of abrasive-cutting type. With this purpose, the results of conducted experimental studies on the bits, the cutting structures of which are reinforced with various carbide cutting elements have been analyzed. As a result, an algorithm for outfit of bits’ cutting structures providing their equal wear resistence is suggested. Moreover, the outfit nature of bits’ cutting structures has been studied depending on structural and physical-mechanical characteristics of reinforcing elements, regime-technological support of destruction process of rocks with different destruction degrees as well.
