In the paper are given the results of new modified alkylphenolate additive AKI-208 synthesis and investigation. This additive is a calcium salt of condensation product of alkylphenol, formaldehyde and benzotriazole. As initial product is used alkylphenol with R=C8–C12 consistence. The presence of benzotriazolic group tertiary nitrogen active heteroatom in the composition of hydrogen atom additive and substitution molecule of phenolic group by calcium cation which takes part in the acids neutralization processes obtained at high temperature oxidations of oils, providing its high exploitation properties. The process of AKI-208 additive preparation consists of the following stages: – condensation of alkylphenol with formaldehyde and benzotriazole in alkali medium; – neutralization of condensation product by calcium hydroxide; – dryness of neutralization product and separation of mechanical admixtures by necessary product centrifuging. The results of investigations show that synthesized additive AKI-208 has high anticorrosive and antioxidative properties and exceeds the well known N-containing analogue IKhP-115 and additive ACK, but by detergent properties is on the same level with them. High efficiency is confirmed by the laboratory tests results as well as in the individual form and in the composition of M-8B motor oil.
