Damages and investigation of serpentine authentic pipes of pyrolysis furnaces used in petrochemical industry
A.G. AbbasovThe paper reviews destruction mechanisms at high temperatures in pyrolysis furnaces used in petrochemistry. The purpose of research is finding ways to eliminate such shortcomings. The main reason for pipe damages is the joint cementing and creeping. It leads to the buckling and heaving. The other dominant destruction mechanism is brittle crushing in the furnaces, which can cause large longitudinal cracks in many pipes. There are several methods of detection and estimation of the damages in the pipes. Optimized methods are used for estimation of furnace pipes’ state. Appliance of one method for detection of potential damage is not enough.
