Formation water treatment from hydrogen sulfide

F.I. Shekiliyev

The article relates to formation waters treatment from hydrogen sulfide recovering with oil. For that purpose the formation water samples from Dashgil section of OGPD named after N.Narimanov were analyzed. As it is known, formation waters play a great role in oil deposits accumulating and development. At the same time the analysis of formation water hydrogeological specification, physical properties and brine composition are the main criteria while oil deposits unity and failure estimation. Besides sulfates, magnum carbonate and bicarbonate, calcium, natrium and iron within different oil deposits formation water content there is a few quantity of organic acid brines (naphthenic, fatly acids). It is shown that for formation waters treatment from oil film and other mixtures cuttings of small and middle size were used. At this formation water is very efficiently treated from oil and other mixtures. Technological treatment scheme is developed and proposed. New absorbent synergistic mixture consists of slaked lime and chloride iron is proposed for formation waters treatment from hydrogen sulfide. The results of carried out investigations show the preferability of formation water treatment with given mixture in comparison with utilization of slaked lime chloride iron that achieves the synergistic effect.
