Viscous additive based on alkyl methacrylate to petroleum oils

The synthesis of copolymers of hexyl methacrylate with hexene-1 via copolymerization and their research as viscous additives in the composition of petroleum oils have been carried out. The conditions providing obtainment of copolymers with required characteristics have been specified. The influence of synthesized copolymers on viscous-temperature properties of the oils have been studied. The recommendations on the usage of studied copolymers as bifunctional additives are given.
