Substantiation of prospectivity of Pre-Kirmaki suite in Neft Dashlary field
J.I. AlekberliThe paper deals with reserves estimation of Pre-Kirmaki suite in Neft Dashlary field and the suggestions on the efficiency of these reserves usage as well. As it is known, offshore oil production was initiated in Neft Dashlary field for the first time in the world. In 1949, the well No.1 drilled to Gala suite was placed on production with the rate in 100 t per day. Now, the field is operated at the final stage of development. Neft Dashlary field is divided into 6 tectonic blocks: I, Ia, II, III, IV and V. Due to Pre-Kirmaki reserves, II and IV tectonic blocks are of great importance. In 2012 “Oil and gas scientific research project” Institute estimated proved reserves of the field and said that Pre-Kirmaki area in Neft Dashlary field contains 42359.8 thousands of residual and 3271.8 thousands of proved developed producing reserves of A + B + С1 category. It should be pointed out that 90 % of residual proved developed producing reserves is accumulated only in II, IV and V blocks - 27, 29 and 33 % respectively. Currently, new exploitation wells in IV and V tectonic blocks are being drilled, and the process will last in the following years. Accumulation of a great deal of residual proved reserves to Pre-Kirmaki in II block and high characteristics of rocks (porosity, permeability, oil saturation) in Pre-Kirmaki horizon allows us to study and search for additional oil wells in II block.
