New lubricating compositions for M-20BP oil used in diesel vessel engines of M-503, M-504 and M-507 type
A.A.BabashlyThe demand in engine oil used in vessel diesel engines makes it a pivotal issue the development of high quality engine oil with highly efficient compositions of additives. Development of such oils for vessel and powerful engines is quite a complex task. Diesel engines are distinguished by their design, exploitation conditions, and purpose of function and wide range of aggregate power and due to this they use oils of group A, B2, V2, G2 and D2. The paper is devoted to results of researches on development of new lubricating compositions of M-20BP oil used in diesel vessel engines of M-503, M-504 and M-507 type. Lubricating compositions are majorly developed on the basis of alkylphenol and dialkyd dithiophosphate additives. As detergent-dispersing additives have been used additive IXP-101 – barium salt of dioxialkylfenilmethane and its new version – AKI-114, which is the calcium salt of condensation product of alkylphenol with formaldehyde and ammonia and high-alkali additives AKI-130 and AKI-150. Together with anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and also detersive-dispersant additives there were developed new versions of M-20BP oil, which are completely meet requirements for this type of oil. The sample of this oil with additive IXP-101 was tested in one-cylinder unit IKM-40А. Positive results of tests allow recommending lubricating compositions on the basis of additives IXP-101, AKI-114, AKI-130, AKI-150, DF- 11, МХ-3103, МХ-3104 and C-400.
