The friction analysis in piston machines and development of selection methods for piston rings materials
V.I. BakhshalievThe paper deals with the mathematical modelling of mechanical losses in kinematic vapors of piston machines and their optimum mechanical efficiency. The service life of piston machines and productivity improvement, increase quality indexes depend on the correct and optimum selection of the materials for their certain details. The technical requirements for the materials used in interacting parts of kinematic vapors have been studied and a methodology for improvement the resistance of piston rings, as well as increase of their service life properties developed. Obtained results have been applied for selection of materials used in piston rings and provide their normal operation. The research results may be useful in the development and operation of piston machines applied in oil and gas industry.
