Economic essence of resource-production potential in oil-gas production

The major issue of oil-gas industry functioning is the provision of rational exploration of fields due to the maximum use of production factors. In modern conditions, the utilization of underground resources in connection of “production factors – production capacity” contributes to the increase of scientific-practical significance of using resource-production potential in oil-gas extraction. A methodology for production potential estimation has been developed in economic references for various industrial fields. However, this issue has not been completely developed for oil-gas producing enterprises operating different field types.
