On the regularity of distribution of Low Pliocene and Miocene sediments along the area on south-east of Garbi Absheron

GanievaGeological structure, lithofacial composition and hydrocarbon potential of Lower Pliocene and Miocene sediments were studied based on the complex analysis of geological-geophysical surveys carried out recently on the areas Lokbatan, Puta-Gushkhana, Kor-goz-Giziltepe, as well as on the adjacent ones located in south and south-east zones of Garbi Absheron oil-gas bearing basin. With the purpose of the investigation of geological development history of studied areas, paleo-seismogeological profiles have been constructed. Seismic-stratigraphic research of time sections of seismic profiles have been conducted as well, in the result of which seismic-sedimentological complexes of sediments by various geological periods were outlined and traced.
