Implementation outlook of plasma radial RCT cutter in emergency wells of "Azneft" PU

Stuck pipe may occur during the operation, repair works and well drilling, even if preventive measures have been taken. The paper presents the data on the reasons of stuck pipe, the ways and tools for releasing unstuck part of it. The detailed information on MCR™ Oil Tools plasma radial RCT cutter, specifically, the components of its construction, the comparison of some typical size cutters by the outer diameter, the comparison of plasma radial cutter with other cutter types are presented, the conclusions on its superiority and successful employment in "Azneft" PU wells made. The prospects of its implementation in the future are marked.
