Synthesis and study of monooleat of ethylen-glycol and asimmetric oleat of naphtenate diester based on naphtenic acid in the presence of ion-fluid catalyst

Sc. - Institute for Petrochemical ProcessesEthylen glycolic oleat-naphtenate diester with the yield of 75−80 % was synthesized based on monooleat-etylenglycolic ester and naphthenic acid in the presence of ion-fluid and n-methylpirrolidon-hydrosulphate catalyst in the ratio of 1:1 at 110 оС temperature in the medium of toluene solvent with the reaction duration in 5−6 hours. Physical-chemical parameters of synthesized esters have been specified via spectral method, their identification justified as well. Synthesized esters have been tested with the purpose of definition of thermo-oxidizing stability of diesel fuel. It was defined that these esters improve thermo-oxidizing of the fuel and may be applied as antioxidants.
