The wells drilled with the deviation angle compared to the vertically drilled ones cover more of oil-bearing area. By increasing drainage zone it is possible to obtain high final oil production and therefore, to enhance oil recovery rate. With the purpose of reducing the drilling costs, the increase of drainage zone gives positive outcomes. From economic point of view, it is more efficient to operate the field increasing the well quantity (i.e. well density) or to use horizontal wells drilled with deviation angle.
