Influence of parameters of high-boiling organic compounds on the efficiency of gas-phase chromatography system

Sc. - Institute for Chemistry of AdditivesIn this work, the dependences of the retention time of organic substances (aromatic hydrocarbons, C10-C14 alkanes and n-aliphatic alcohols) at 150 oC temperature on the concentration of Apiezon L brand lubricant, and of the polar liquid phase of poly-ethylene glycol adipianate are specified. It is shown that the dependence of the corrected retention time of organic compounds (n-xylene, mesitylene, durol) for various mobile phases (nitrogen, hexane, ethyl alcohol) is almost linear. The dependence of the retention time on the boiling point of aromatic hydrocarbons at 150 oC temperature on the nature of the mobile phase (nitrogen, hexane, ethyl alcohol) and on the percentage of the polar liquid phase of polyethylene glycol adipianate (2–15 %) is linear.
