Regeneration of the exhausted transformer oil by adsorption method

A.S.Askerova

It is known, that transformer oils are applied in various areas of electrical engineering. At long work of transformers under the influence of electric field, oil is exposed to oxidation and its qualities worsen. In the paper, results of researches of quality of the exhausted transformer oil are presented. It is shown that it does not meet GOST requirements for transformer oils on colour, acid number, mechanical impurity and other indices. For the purpose of generation of transformer oil the method of adsorption purification of oil by cumbrine and dusk–like microspheric zeolite-containing catalyst KMTSU-BK was used. Optimal conditions of purification such as temperature, time of contact of oil with adsorbent and separation of oil from adsorbent have been picked out. It is shown, that dried up silica-alumina adsorbent is more effective than cumbrine, and the received oil meets requirements of T-1500 transformer oil for all indices and can be repeatedly used in transformers.
