In the paper, the results of scientific-research works on selective purification of fuel and oil fractions using as extracting solvent the ecologically favorable complex salts obtained as a result of interaction of organic acids and amines - ionic liquids, conducted in IPCP of NASA, are presented. It is shown the utility of the use of ionic-liquid compositions based on formic acid and aniline or morpholine – anilineformate and morpholineformate as selective solvent for purification of gasoline, transformer oil distillate and oil fractions, extracted from the various oil deposits, from aromatic hydrocarbons, sulfurous and resinous compounds. The extraction of diesel fuel with the use of abovementioned ionic-liquid compositions as solvents provides the decrease of the amount of aromatic hydrocarbons to 10 % and the amount of sulphur to 0,0034 % in the raffinate composition. It is established the possibility of obtaining the raffinate having higher yield (87,6 %) in comparison with conventional solvent such as furfural (76,4 %), viscosity index 84,2 and freezing temperature of - 2 °C upon extraction of oil distillate having viscosity 8,5 mm2/s at 100°C by morpholinephormate ionic liquid. The selective purification of oil fractions under 50°C of petroleum, extracted from Gunashli deposits, by mentioned ionic liquid solvent has been investigated by comparison with furfural, and the raffinate samples with improved properties were obtained. So, on the basis of conducted researches it is shown the efficiency and availability of the use of ionic-liquid compositions as selective solvents for purification of fuel and oil fractions from aromatic hydrocarbons, sulfurous and resinous compounds.
