Moisture-in-gas content is an important quality parameter in production, transportation and processing of both natural and associated petroleum gas. Reliable and accurate measurement of this parameter is required at all stages: from the well to gas processing plant and, further, to consumer, – and influence significantly the efficiency of technological processes. The article presents modern methods and means for online measurement of moisture content in natural gas, their advantages and disadvantages as well as the most effective applications. The article makes it possible to reasonably choose one or another online moisture-in-gas analyzer for each stage of the technological cycle: from natural gas production to processing into a sales gas and its transportation.
