Features of repair work in multilateral wells

The article provides brief information about the design of the bottom of wells, underground equipment and their design, which are supplied during the completion of double-barreled wells. Special tools and foreign-made equipment used during repair work on multilateral wells, and the technology for their installation in the wellbore were also consistently explained.
Existing methods for flushing a sand plug in a well were investigated and the quality indicators of each method were analyzed. It was noted that in wells with two or more trunks, it is necessary to isolate the other trunk with a special plug in order to wash out the plug formed in each trunk, as well as the impossibility of carrying out repair work due to the lack of this plug and significant financial resources are required to purchase it.
The presence of three well states is shown, depending on the distance between the branching of the trunks and the depth of the filter part of the well, and the article also reflects a technological solution using wellhead and underground equipment, which can be used when washing a sand plug in one wellbore, excluding the ingress of the washed sand plug into another trunk. Especially in complex well conditions – when the distance between the branching of the trunks and the depth of the filter part of the well is at a very short distance, using the proposed new technology it becomes possible to carry out repair work in each wellbore, without isolating the other trunks with a special insulating plug.
