The key problem during transporting natural gas through gas pipelines is to ensure reliable, safe transportation and supply of gas to consumers. Reliable operation of the main gas pipeline depends on transported gas quality. Under production conditions, gas is saturated with moisture vapor to an equilibrium state, and when thermodynamic conditions (pressure, temperature) change, its condensation occurs. Due to the heterogeneity of the fields, the problem of gas quality control is the key reliability criterion, especially such as the moisture content in the gas. The main complication is the formation of hydrate plugs, which lead to an increase in hydraulic resistance and a decrease in pipeline capacity, which contributes to the occurrence of emergency situations. Therefore, before supplying natural gas to main gas pipelines, the gas is dried to its dew point, which prevents condensation of water from the gas.
