Aspects using of CO2 captured from stationary sources
R.A. Aliyeva - Oil and Gas InstituteThe results of carbon dioxide (CO2), which is emitted into the atmosphere and creates a greenhouse effect as a result of the burning of natural methane gas (CH4) as a fuel in a number of large industrial enterprises in Azerbaijan, and the ways of its capture and efficient use from an economic point of view have been studied. Including, in the production of methanol and urea sulfur, increasing the oil yield of the layer by injecting it into the oil layers, increasing the productivity of plants, producing caustic soda, dry ice, carbonated water, etc. the effectiveness of its use in the fields has been investigated and proposals for scientific and technical solutions have been developed.
This is both a decrease in the amount of CO2 gas in the atmosphere, which causes global climate changes, and also a saving of natural methane gas used in the production process. Options for carbon dioxide capture and storage and transportation to the destination have also been developed in the current research work.
