Determination of internal gas losses during cyclic operation of an underground gas storage using identification modeling

An identification modeling method is proposed that makes it possible to determine of in-situ gas losses during the cyclic operation of underground gas storages (UGS) facilities and, on its basis, a preliminary estimate of in-situ gas losses during the cyclic operation of a particular tectonic block of the Galmaz UGS facility is predicted. It has been established that the main part of in-situ gas losses is the volume of gas that has diffused into the formation waters.
