Application of modern equipments during ecological monitoring on the sea

Information about modern equipments applied during seasonal ecological monitoring carried out by Ecological Department of SOCAR in the area of oil – gas fields of Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea is presented in the article. Modern equipments are following: bottle for taking a sample of water and phytoplankton, plankton net, a device measuring 5 physical and chemical parameters of sea water together, a device for taking bottom samples, a current meter for measuring currents, a set of devices for meteorological parameters. The modern oceanographic and meteorological devices used in ecological monitoring, have been compared to traditional measuring devices and advantages of using modern measuring devices are mentioned.
