Rectilinear stationary motion of viscous-plastic fluid in a round cylindrical pipe

Sc. - "Oil-Gas Scientific Research Project” InstituteThe article solves the hydromechanical theoretical problem of the rectilinear stationary motion of a viscous-plastic fluid in a round cylindrical pipe. This movement obeys the Bingham-Shvedov law of friction. This motion obeys the Bingham-Shvedov friction law. A formula for the radius of the flow core is derived from the condition of equilibrium of the pressure force and the friction force.
For fluid to move, the shear stress must be greater than the ultimate shear stress. When the shear stress and the ultimate shear stress are equal, a limiting equilibrium is created and on this basis the initial pressure drop is determined. A formula for the speed of liquid movement has been derived. Formulas for the flow rates of liquid in the flow core and in the gradient annular layer are found, by summing them up, the total flow rate of liquid in the pipe is found.
