Well completion passes into the next phase of well operation – well development. At the same time, it constitutes a special technological cycle that completes its construction. The quality of development and the results of subsequent well operation depend on how well the filtration characteristics of the formations are restored at the stage of primary and secondary formation opening, inflow stimulation, and the use of various methods of intensifying the inflow from the formation. If it is impossible to ensure the preservation of the natural filtration properties of the formation during drilling, it is necessary to restore them at the stage of well development.
The paper analyzes the main physical and physicochemical phenomena accompanying the processes of drilling out the productive strata and cementing wells, which can significantly worsen the filtration characteristics of the bottomhole formation zone and complicate well development.
