Biological cleaning of solid materials and petroleum products contaminated with petroleum

Some solid materials (different adsorbents and cellophanes and etc.) contaminated with petroleum are produced during oil production and processing. In the article technology of biological cleaning of such contaminated materials is offered. Cleaning can be done directly in the places of their formation or in special ranges. The principle of cleaning is based on splintering ability of oil hydrocarbon by microorganisms. Cleaning of materials from oil and oil products can be carried out separately for each type of material as well as together. The duration of biological cleaning depends on the degree of contamination of materials and can last from 4 – 5 to 10 – 12 months. During the period of the work biological cleaning is monitored. The offered method has ecological nature and prevents the emission of oil – contaminated materials into the environment.
